Our mission is to raise the interest and improve the knowledge and skills of youth in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Specifically students focus on fields of physics, chemistry, technology, applied mathematics, Computer Aided Design and the Engineering Design Process. These fields are critical to the success of students nationally. Young Vermonters are ready to make a connection between what they are learning and how to achieve the career of their dreams. STARBASE provides an exciting activity-based curriculum designed to help students make that connection.
SERVING THE RUTLAND AND
BURLINGTON VERMONT AREASWith program sites in Rutland and South Burlington, we are able to work with over 25% of fifth graders in Vermont each year. More than 30,000 Vermont students have participated in the program. There is no fee for students to participate. Primary consideration is given to Title I schools in the application and selection process.
